At the NTEA Truck Product Conference (Sept. 15-17, 2015) in Dearborn, Mich., Freightliner Trucks demonstrated some of its Truck Equipment Manufacturer (TEM)-specific vocational solutions during a presentation on Sept. 17, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.
TEMs had the opportunity to explore a 108SD dump truck and a hands-on chassis that highlights Freightliner’s wire routing-clipping configuration and installation bracket options.
“Our goal is to not only manufacture the industry’s most durable vocational trucks, but to benefit TEMs as they upfit our chassis,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “From pre-punching frames to improving wiring and harness routing, we’re doing what we can to lower the Real Cost of Ownership for our customers and reduce the amount of time TEMs spend upfitting chassis.”
Freightliner’s market-leading vocational line of trucks are available with a wide variety of flexible chassis configurations, ease of access to cab components, clear frame rails and multiple exhaust options that were designed for performance and to make TEMs more productive. The Freightliner SmartPlex^® Electrical System further contributes to making the installation process more efficient.
Freightliner’s vocational solutions cover a wide range of medium- and heavy-duty applications, and contribute to enhanced performance, safety and productivity.
